ARTIST STATEMENT

My aim is to create a clothing brand that makes a positive social and environmental impact, called WEAR ELISABETH. The designs are aimed at a market that wants well-made, long-lasting workwear with a story behind each piece. I focus on sourcing all UK made materials to support small local businesses and reduce carbon footprint.  Creating a community of makers in the UK by drawing together a range of materials to design Women’s workwear. By working together we can support each other while using a range of sustainable materials. All of my dye is sourced from Pigment Organic Dye, a social enterprise set up by Sophie Holt in Devon focused on  growing high quality dye plants alongside supporting adults with additional needs into training and employment.
